AFC/SFC Coaxial Cables 50ohms, High Foam Dielectric, Solid Corrugated Outer Conductor


AFC & SFC cable will be ideal for application of Cellular, PCS, IMT-2000, Broadcast, Military telecom and radar system, or any other RF-Coaxial cable requirements. The cables utilize a high foamed polythylene dielectric and corrugated outer conductors made of longitudinally welded and corrugated.

The dielectric and inner conductor are bonded to each other by pre-coat process and the foamed dielectric is manufactured by a process of gas injection giving a foam with a fine, uniform, closed cell structure.

Each cable drum delivered by Amphenol is performed 100% sweeping test to ensure the lowest specified return loss value.

For underground Applications

Radiating cable is very similar in construction to a coaxial cable except for the slots in the outer conductor which allow controlled levels of RF energy to be radiated out-of or into the cable. Therefore, the radiating cable functions as a great extension antenna to solve RF coverage problems in limited area such as tunnels, building and other underground areas.

 

This cable has a thinner, non-corrugated copper outer conductor with pre-punched holes which is longitudinally formed around the foam dielectric covering the inner conductor.

RDCL series offers similar RF performance with RDAF series at a lower cost, which are used in application where the ruggedness of the cable is not required.
